TOUR SCHEDULE -
Alec Jensen started writing music in 2002 for his band The Misters. They put out a full length LP called Distant Possibilities in 2002 and a masterfully crafted EP called Automobility in 2003. Since then, Alec's sound has developed in leaps and bounds and new influences have caused unique shifts in his musical repetoire.
In the summer of 2004 Alec released his first solo record on King of Hearts. This extended EP, involved collaboration with recording engineer, and life-long friend Tom Giltrow, as well as featured long-time friends Emily Jane Powers and Adam Sanchez. Because of the serious involvement of many of those close to Alec in his first solo endeavor the EP was entitled Best Friend. It included what was with out a doubt some of Alec's best work to date and was a stepping stone for the years to come.
Best Friend was soon followed up by Oh! Brother in August 2005, a collection of indie-pop-folk songs on the topics of God, love, and the losses thereof. He recorded it on 4 track tape with the help of Emily Jane Powers. She contributed both her musical and recording talents to the project.
Although Alec's musical endeavors were put on hold as he spent six months studying in Senegal. He has recently returned to the states and plans to heavily play the Michigan area. This spring, he also starts work on his next solo album, which will be a full band effort, featuring Aaron Quillen of Lone Wolf and Cub and Travis Bravender. This spring will also hopefully see shows and a possible release from Alec's other band, Great Ghosts, who are based in Kalamazoo, Mi.
